HTML <main> tag

Definition

The <main> tag is used to define the Main Content area within a HTML document.

A HTML document should only have one <main> tag.

The <main> tag should not appear within the <article>, <aside>, <footer>, <header> or <nav> elements.

The <main> tag was introduced in HTML5.
